Moksham'. A popular centre, Ambalapuzha is also known as the Land of Sree
Krishna. The Sree Krishna Swami Temple dedicated to Parthasarathy is the one of
the highly revered pilgrimages of Kerala. The village of Karumadi is famous for
its Karumadi Kuttan, a 135 cm high black granite figure of Lord Buddha, believed
to belong to the 9th or 10th century. The statue, now a protected monument, is
